Description:
This popular culinary herb produces its oil by steam distillation of the leaves and flowering tops of the plant. Sweet Basil is enlivening, comforting and helpful for clarity and strength of mind. There are many chemo-types of this oil but this chemotype has a higher percentage of thymol (antiseptic agent). Basil has a pleasant, sweet, herbaceous and light refreshing odor.

Fun Fact:
